Cobb
Stories

presented by Cobb Landmarks & Marietta Arts Council

About Cobb Stories

The purpose of this project is to capture oral histories from Cobb County residents through first-person storytelling. Each story will be available online as an audio file, and each story will be transcribed for the deaf and hard of hearing. The auditory catalogue will have a companion portraiture series that will be on display as part of the M2R Fence Gallery, a county-wide, year-long traveling exhibition of juried photography and fine art.

Two Years Later Series

A lot has happened since March 2020. We invite you to call us and share what life is like for you two years later. To share your story, please call 770-569-3305 and follow the recorded instructions. Prefer to type your story? Click here.

In addition to the auditory catalogue, select stories are featured in a companion portraiture series captured by photographer Justin Hadley. The series will be presented on this website and is now on display as part of the M2R Fence Gallery, a countywide, yearlong traveling exhibit.
